I got a call at 7am from the office manager saying we were closed for the morning and the situation would be reassessed at 11am. The downside was I had to call the morning patients to let them know we were closed. So I fell back asleep until 8am and then started calling patients. Most said they figured we were closed. Others said they weren't even going to try to venture out if we had been open. One patient, however, asked if I could call her prescription in to her pharmacy for her. I had to explain that I was calling her from my home and that the doctors were all home too and wouldn't be able to do that. At 10:30am I got the second call - closed for the day! WOOHOO!!!!! So I got to lounge around, watch tv, and play Guitar Hero. I was somewhat productive though; I swept the house, did the dishes, and did a load of laundry.
We didn't have to shovel either since the guy upstairs/landlord has a snowblower. We'll just have to clean off the car tomorrow.
The city seems to shut down anytime there's a risk of snow, it's pretty ridiculous. This is the 1st time our office was closed though, I would guess due to the high winds and zero visibility. This makes up for us not having Family Day here in Newfoundland!

It's hard to see, but our car is there. And you can't even tell those are stairs.
The snow right outside our door.
Snow drift.
Ya, that's quite a bit of snow. The kids upstairs actually toboggan down the stairs.
